Sarah, do you know a good source for calcium nitrate?

In regards to my avatar... what does it look like? Its a pretty common algae. Hmm...you really miss the old one?

Well it looks like a segmented.. um.. thing. Definitely a thing. Yep. I dont know, I suck at algae ID. Help a girl out.

For calcium nitrate.. the only source I know of is Carolina Bio Supply .. but I'm not sure if they sell their products like chemicals to individuals or if you have to prove you're an institution. Fischer Scientific definitely has it, but the same problem might be encountered. Try both and see what can happen. I think people hesitate to sell the saltpeter's (both potassium and calcium forms) to the public these days.
