Enid, OK

{quote} "...between Larry's home oxygen and sun loan"...

THAT's pretty funny: open a LFS: when someone sees the receipt of supplies from the LFS, they can grab a bottle of oxygen on their way to the bank to get a mini-loan.

Buy out Scooters and open a LFS. Closer to my house! Only about 4 miles away and a nice big building.

scooters would never sell out... they are the "hip" place of the town!!! hehe... I like going in there to see the "stupid" people!!... yeah, I am one of them! hehehe

I agree. It's a win/win situation for me. Not only would I have a fish store north of Stillwater that is decent, but then I wouldn't have to make as many banners up here at work. I might be able to sit back and relax for once :D

Well, mark my words....Opening a fish store is what I want to do eventually (funny how things change over time). And Brook wants to move to Enid again really badly. So that means if I can see enough of a business to stay open, Enid will have a new fish store in the next, say 10 years. If I get a private business partner, now!!!

Yeah, there would have to be more people already interested in fish than what we were able to name on here. And we've been known to convert people to the hobby a time or two... or three or four. But we couldn't stay open if a lot of people didn't already have tanks.

I'd love for the store to be on Owen K. Garriott. It's like big, free advertising! I'm not sure people would want to go to the square or up north. But I bet Garriott's leases would be outrageously expensive.

Buy the stock from Pet-a Rama, then remodel the old Homeland or Walmart. Big front, Owen K Garriott, what can be better than that? ;)

Man, why would I want the Pet-a-rama stock though? Unless that includes those rocking chameleons? They had like a damsel whenever I would go in.

I have been working with Tyler (Grandson to the owners that died) on ordering more livestock. The Aunt that oversees the store wont let him order much. Pretty soon there wont be much left of the inventory.

I have been looking at his wholesale sheets and telling him what he should be ordering. Sometimes he can sneek some in and sometimes he cant.
I told him to order a BTA and he did. He said it had super bubbles and was a light pink with blue tips (Bleached I am guessing). The way he discribed it, it sounded healthy except for the light pink part. I didnt get to see it. He sold it within 15 min. for 39.99. I told him he priced it too cheap. He is ordering 3 or 4 more. They should get here monday (I think). I am going to try and be there early if I can.

There is a lady that offered 40,000 for the store and is talking to his aunt about it. She wants to give him 2,000. to order saltwater right now to help get him going.

I gave him some PC lights because he didnt have the lights for corals. His grandpa (before he passed and now his aunt) wont let him get new equip.

This is real sad because he wants to get the saltwater part up and going and has put in money out of his own pocket into it but its hard when you get paid just a little over min. wage.

He really is a real nice kid.

Lori

Well, push for the lady with the money to buy out the store, then get to know her really well and try to gently influence things in the right direction.

Good luck!

Hmm.. sounds like competition for Team Carlsen. Okay, Team Carlsen the dream as of right now.

Really though, it would be nice for them to either get it taken care of (sold) or to do better overall. I bet it's stressful.
