Sanjay, nice! I just bought a Canon Rebel XT and I think my first new lens will be a macro. Did you use a tripod or IS lens?

I did not use a tripod. I did use a flash so the speed was fast enough to hand hold.

The IS must be Cannon lenses.. I have the NIKON.

Sanjay, an IS lens is for "image stabilization." Not sure if that's a generic term or one unique to Canon. They're quite expensive but all but eliminate camera shake. I still have a long way to go to understanding all this camera jargon---all those settings! I bought an instructional DVD specifically for my camera. I assume you can buy something similar for the Nikon if you are interested. It's fun to experiment. :)

OK.. Nikon uses the VR designation for its Vibration Reduction lenses.

This one is the standard 105mm macro lens.

Yeah, there is a lot to learn with cameras and lenses. But its fun.

Just what I need---another hobby! :(

Not just another hobby.... its another EXPENSIVE hobby, as if reefkeeping was not bad enough !!! Wait till you start spending on extra lenses, external flashes, etc.
