Enough Light?

I plan on running the 72" Current Nova Extreme Pro T5 fixture on my 29" deep 210. I want to keep some mushroooms, zoanthids, a bubble tip anemone and a few a Acans. Is this fixture going to provide enought light? Also for people who currently have this fixture in any size, do you run it with the included splash guard or without? Thanks in advance!

I think it is a highly underrated fixture. If you have the right mix of bulbs in there and try to keep everything mid way up in the tank you won't have any problem whatsoever growing anything. I use the fixture and have great growth with all my sps, lps, and zoanthids. Lighting is only one aspect in the total picture. In regards to the splash shield I have tried it with and without. I can't say it made any significant difference in growth but it does appear to be brighter without it. Saying that, Grime reefer has done tests saying that the par is increased with the shield on because without it the fans wont properly cool the bulbs. For safety I would just say keep it on.

Just to let you know i use this 6 bulbs fixture on an 18inch deep tank so I can't really speak for your tank depth. I do however know that I have zoanthids and other corals at the bottom near the sand that have very fast and equivalent growth rates as corals higher up in the water.

Hope this helps!

great fixture. make sure u get the new style with slr reflectors. i have the 4 ft on a 75 and have great light. tank seems brighter than my 2x250 watt halides
