Enough QT?

I've done 6 tank transfers to rid of ich over the last 2 and a half weeks and transfers 4 and 6 I've done Perez to kill worms after transfer 2 I haven't seen any ich or noticeable sighs of illness. Are the fish good to go or is there more that I need to do? Thanks for the advice!

The safe route would be to put them in a permanent QT w/cycled media and observe for one more month. But if you're confident you timed the TT correctly and took care not to cross contaminate, your fish should be good to go.

One thing though... are these new fish, or did you have to go fallow in the DT for Ich or something?

These are new fish. I'm confident that I sanitized correctly because I let everything sit dry for two days between TT and I kinda went over kill on the amount of TTs I did but that's because the water gets really cloudy with the dried seaweed I use to feed my algae blenny

My understanding with Prazi (assuming thats what you mean by Perez?) is that it needs to do its work for at least 5 days, twice. Sounds like you may have only had it working for a cumulative of 4 to 6 days? Wouldn't hurt to let Prazi run its course a little longer.

The 6 TT's over 2.5 weeks, were those 3-day intervals or were you doing more frequent?

Praziquantel, the primary ingredient used in Prazipro, is only active for 72 hrs max. So, if he did his transfers 3 days apart, and administered Prazi on transfers 4 and 6; that should eradicate any flukes and the "next generation" from any eggs left behind. I've done it myself.

They were all 3 day intervals and the bottle said it was only affective for 3-5 days.

This is my second time doing TT. The first time was to cure my clown fish of ich and then I waited 65 days on a fallow period for the display tank. When I did the clowns I did TT 4 times and it worked like a charm. It's a really easy process in my opinion just a LOT of work draining and cleaning everything but worth it.

Agreed. It's time consuming/grunt work, but very effective if done properly. I do TT on all new small fish, where ammonia building up isn't as much of a concern. And for larger fish, there's always Amquel for the last day or two. I also run Prazi in conjunction with TT, as you did.

But I still usually observe for another month afterwards, just to be safe. Unless I'm dealing with something like a Mandarin which needs pods in the DT ASAP.

I originally had 3 Anthias, a wrasse and an algee bleeny in QT and one Anthias and the wrasse died due to amonia. what was sold to me didn't work at all at stopping amonia. I changed brands and now I don't have a problem but I have to add amquil twice a day. The only reason I want to put them in is because the water is going bad fast due to the dried seaweed that clouds up the water when I feed the blenny.

Sounds like you need to either start using a bigger QT or QT less fish at one time, when doing TT. Amquel works pretty well for keeping ammonia at bay, but it has it's limits.
