I just got my new Epualette shark yesterday and he is already turning over and scratching on the sand. I had this issue last year with one and never found out why and lost him. I spoke to Delbeek and Scott and Sprung via emails but could not find a way to save him. Anyone seen this behavior before?

Sounds like gill burn from shipping.
Did you use amquel to neutralize the ammonia before acclimating?
Marine fish are only affected by ammonia at normal sea water PH 8-8.4,
When fish are shipped the PH drops and the ammonia levels rise,
so if you do not neutralize the ammonia first and raise the PH by drip acclimation the you get fish with damaged gills (gill burn).
If that is not the cause then I would say your PH or other water parameters are off,
double check all of your test kits,thermometer,ect.....
Also check for stray voltage in the tank.
