Equipment for a 50 gallon

The plan is to get a 50g glass aquarium with a trapazoid overflow in the back center of the tank which is drilled straight down. It also has 2 return pipes coming back up the overflow with return outputs.

The price with a 30" stand and 9" canopy is $371
Is that a good deal? It's brand new and the stand/canopy is black.

I was wondering what people thought about this setup. I also need information as to what lighting I should use. My smaller tank I have setup already has PC lighting and I have the following corals:

hammer, torch, mushrooms, zoos, star polyps, colt, button

These all seem to be doing fine under my PC lighting, however I would like to get MH lights for the new setup so I can have a clam, and some SPS corals too.

All comments appriciated. Thanks.

The biggest deal with packages is the quality of the stand. Is it sturdy, level and is the top flat. Some stands have bowed tops that can cause your tank to crack. With the tank on the stand, make sure it makes contact on all 4 sides.

It's not a package, it's 3 seperate orders from the LFS, that is just the total price. I'm getting it for cost, which is why I think it's less than usual.

They'll find out if they try to drill it! :) Sounds like they know what they are doing, but just thought I would let you know. It might be worth mentioning to them if it is an All-Glass tank.

try this thread and see what you think

I have a T.Crocea pretty much at the sand bed in my 55g with 4x54w T5's. And they are a middle of the road unit....coralvue retro..not icecap or tek. I havent had a problem with acros either.
