Equipment outside or inside??

Was wondering what to do with all my aquarium equipment. I have the option of putting all of it outside in the garage and my tank will be in the living room. My garage is insulated but does not have heating or air conditioning. It does get rather hot in the summer here and cold in the winter. Looking to put all the clutter outside only if its not going to cost that much more to run

almost forgot I have a 120g and a 3616 ecosystem, calcium reactor, kalk reactor, chiller, topoff system, octopus skimmer recirc 200

If you have the option, use it. Seems like you always can deal with temp later.

What do you mean by 'equipment' ?

If you want to put a sump/refugium out there, I personally would avoid it. If you can manage to put other junk (pumps, reactors, chillers, etc..) out there then I would say yes, definitely, do it.

If push comes to shove you can create a little wooden box for it all to go into, and then line that box with insulation. That would greatly curb the swings in temperatures.

Good luck.

my equipment would consist of
3616 ecosystem, calcium reactor, kalk reactor, chiller, topoff system, octopus skimmer recirc 200

I agree with six_line. How far is it from the tank to the garage? I would probably put the fuge out there too just too see how well it fares but with the knowlege that it may be brought back inside.

You have a chiller so heat shouldn't be a concern. The winters might prove to be more difficult though. The wooden insulated box is a good idea too.
