Over Christmas I bought most of this setup at Aquatica. It is a 60 gallon starfire cube (24x24x24) from Deep Blue Professional. The stand is Deep Blue Professional as well. I got a IT2040 light from Reef Breeders, and a SCA-303 skimmer. Still working on an auto topoff system, and a fuge light. I am starting with dead rock, except for a piece of live rock I got from Salty Critter yesterday. The sand is Tropic Eden Tonga Mini flakes. I got it filled yesterday and starting to cycle.

I took PAR reading of the light at 100% on both channels, and at 50% on both channels. That thing puts out a lot of light. I got the ones with the 90 degree optics on them.

100%
1 inch - 1100
12 inches - 600
24 inches - 200

50%
1 inch - 700
12 inches - 350
24 inches - 150

How did you plumb this to the sump?

It's a 1" bulkhead on the drain, that is connected to flex hose, that is connected to the sump. The return is using 3/4" clear tubing.

I am considering replumbing the drain with PVC, and a valve.

I have the same tank getting ready to set it up. Where did you get your sump??
Tough to find one to fit I am finding out

Update. the tank went through a few days of being cloudy, it has pretty much cleared up now. The diatoms are starting. I was using flex line on the drain into the sump, but i didn't like how it looked. I replaced it with some PVC. Here is what it looks like now.

Orded a ATO from BRS today. Still have some ammonia and nitrites, so not ready yet, but getting better. I am hoping it is ready to go by the swap.
