Sailor Man on HWY84 / Marine Mile in fort Lauderdale has 1000w small generators for $149. They las a long time on a few gallons of gas, and should power most of your pumps and lights.

I got about 56w of light, 18w for the pump, and another approx. 20w for the fan, thats it in my nano. 149, doesn't sound bad, but I believe the generators at pep boys are like 3500 and are 279.99.

why spend the $ on a small gen. 1000w, when u could pick up 5000w for $599.00 I know the money is an object, but why just run the tank when u can have the house outlets, fans, ref, micro, and wall A/C. Think about it? Give me PM if U need Info. Adam

if I had 600$ Id LOVE one! but I dont! so the 150$ one will have to do!!! When I get back from NY Tomorrow thats my first stop!!

I got both, I use my 5500W generator for a few hours during the day and my 1000W for 24 hour use for stuff that requires power all the time, my tanks, my mini-frige... The 1000w uses 3-4g a day, the 5500W uses 5 gallons in 6 hours.
