Hey im thinking of modding this sump slightly. before i do it i want some opinions.
1.
The first baffle has a cut at the low end which allows water to flow through the middle. the baffle sits right to the top of the tank.
I want to plug this slit/cut-out and cut down the baffle to 8" so the water will flow over the baffle to the fuge.
This will also be perfect for my skimmer. right now i would have to raise my skimmer 3.5"
2.
from fuge to the return there are teeth. when the return is on the water level in the fuge is about 12"
I want to cut down the teeth so the water level will also be at 8"
2 reasons for this.
1.In a power outage the water level goes right to the top with about 1cm to spare. Im scared it will overflow.
2.I wont have to raise my skimmer.
