Established Duncan coral not opening

I have a really nice duncan coral in my tank for a few months. Up until recently it was open, beautiful, and well fed. Recently, my anemone moved in near it and I feel that was the cause, so while the anemone was closed after a feeding I moved the duncan. It's still not opening. The water parameters are spot on. The only thing I can think of is that I had a hammer recently develop a bit of brown jelly disease, which was successfully treated.

Any ideas would help.

what kind of light you have , too much light can close the coral
try to watch the Duncan at night and see if open and try to feed at night if it open .
try to watch and see if any fish nip on the Duncan

my kH is 8. as for my lights I have a current usa Marine IC on to about 80% during the day. The coral is placed in the center of the tank. After a few days it seems to be opening again. I suspect it was the anemone that was bothering it.
