Established QT Turns Cloudy, Fish Fine.

I have run into this in the past but would like some input.

I have two QT tanks that yesterday the water turned cloudy. The fish in there are not bothered at all and all water parameters check out good.

This was 2 days after starting prazipro and cupramine. Brand new bottles of both. Doing a large (75%) water change mostly clears it up which I do because I do not like it this way.

What causes this? I have used Prazi and cupramine tons of times and just rarely run into this so unsure it is the medication.

When it occurs, I basically change out all the water, add a poly filter and carbon and it clears. Then I restart the medicating over, just curious if others have run into anything like this.

Not to sure what could cause it to go cloudy. I don't like mixing treatments and Seachem will also tell you not to do it. That being said I know a good amount of people do it with success. So not sure. I can tell you I use Cupramine and do not have any cloudiness.

I have had the same thing happen many times in my 55gal QT whenever I dose the Prazi on top of the cupramine. As you say, I do a couple of water changes and all is fine.

The fish never show any ill effects, so I dont sweat it.

I dont have any answers for you except that you are not alone and it doesnt seem to cause any issues.
