Ok, so we're trying to put together a local frag swap... Target date is the end of May... We need to start getting on this sooner rather than later... Eddie is working on seeing if he can get his church to let us use their place as a venue... If anyone has any other locations that might be suitable, or any ideas, please post...

If anyone is good with graphic designing, and can make up a flyer, that would be great too... I can slap one together and will if there aren't any volunteers... So lets get this rolling along...
 
Awesome:). It's all coming together now that I'm out of the state. I always wanted swaps in all regions of the state strategically timed for maximum addiction growth. Another local club is working on their first swap, too:).
 
Just bumping this up to see if any one has thought of any locations or anything else??? :)
 
Yeah... For the frag swap, we really need an open floorplan like a gymnasium or cafeteria... Multiple outlets are necessary as well as access to the breaker boxes should we have a fuse blow... Uncarpeted is definately preferable since its easier to clean up...
 
Try churches for gyms. Community Centers sometimes have gyms or other open areas. I know the Community Center in Goodlettsville doesn't have much for frills, but it really served the purpose (easy access, electricity, hard floor covers, etc.). The community center was less than a mile from my house, but I'd have never known about it until a member brought it up at the December meeting the month before the swap:D. You could check around campus for anything that looks promising, but I'd bet prices will be high and access will be low... Whatcha bringing to the swap, Randy:D?
 
lions creek baptist church on straw plains pike has a good sized basketball court/gym, and they're pretty open to community functions. all the scouts meet there. they might be open to it. they even have a small kitchen if you wanted to sell hot dogs, etc.

what IS a frag swap? i've never been before. is it like a big saltwater flea market? all kinds of stuff? meaning, equipment, fish, frags (of course), rock, etc.?
 
Pretty much... People buy, sell, and trade corals and equipment. Most pieces are very well priced, but you end up wanting a little of everything;).

That's a good location! Pretty well located.

Dang yall why so close to our swap?? :( How am I supposed to be able to afford 2 swaps this close to one another?? LOL!
 
It was the soonest we could get the church... I guess everyone wants a spring wedding this year... :rolleyes: lol
