etss overskim?

Can you overskim with an ETSS? I keep adjusting it shut farther and farther because its pulling out less and less.

absolutely,can you break the speed limit in a Ferrari.same scenario.This is the premise behind strong,aggressive skimming.Having the ability to remove decaying particulates and proteins while allowing you to feed more nutritious foods(in stead of starving your tank with a skimmer that only idles at best).By feeding more your animals will grow faster and look healthier.

A properly sized ETSS will skim the tank to a point of (nothing left to skim) eventually and at intervals will not produce much if any skimmate Once the levels build again then it will kick in again.

thanks Dan... so is it best to find what I would consider the sweet spot for nutrient levels and coloration my tank and just leave it there?
