ETSS Sump Budy 40

I have Sump Buddy 40 does ok once dialed in. You don't want foam up in the neck so much as about 1" of foam at top of box. Trouble with ETSS is if you have a problem the customer service is not good. I also bought a sump at the same time and was shipped the wrong size sump after waiting over 2 month (was suppose to ship in a week) for it. Struggled to get correct sump shipped and then had seam split after 4 months. Contacted ETSS with picture of open seam on sump and have been ignored. While my skimmer is ok would not purchase from this company again:mad:

sorry about your issues.. the deal fell threw for me .so I ended up with a Aquamedic turbo float .loving it so far..
good luck..

I've had mine running for about 4 months at this point.

It does a great job pulling waste from my system, but is the most finicky and sensitive skimmer i have dealt with.

Getting it dialed in was a hassle. bubbles popping low, you come back 20 minutes later and water is pouring out of the top. This went on for at least a week.

I like the idea of a down draft skimmer. But be warned; when you have water flying out of a Mag 9 and smashing into a pile of bio-balls it's going to make a bit of noise.

On a positive note it's extremely easy to clean and has a very small and "adaptable" foot print. Once you finally get it tuned and running it's a great skimmer. I would buy another (but nor for more than the $100 i paid for it)
