Taking my tank in another direction in the near future and I've been really wanting to go barebottom. I looked into doing a neon GSP carpet and came across this nano tank:
It's really inspired me and I'd like to do something on a more grand scale, considering my tank will be a 40b and that's a 10g. So my question is, which euphyllia species would work best? I love the torch idea but I always see torches get really, really long; is that due to insufficient lighting causing them to stretch? I don't want to regret my decision one year down the road because of a clunky decision that can't be fixed without starting over.
I'm not a huge fan of hammers, but they seem to be offered in a larger color variety currently? I'm not immersed enough to actually know, that's just my experience with my LFS's and from what I've seen on online vendors.
Lastly, as any good Bonsai you have to trim them. I have never been great at fragging euphyllia in a 'precise' manner, are there any good techniques that can be done in tank? I've considered trying a dremel before, I guess this could still be done as long as I drain the water enough. Has anyone else done this with success before?
