Euphyllia Coral - Spawning?

This is my first Coral, I've had him for 3 weeks or so now and is appears to be doing absolutely amazing. I think he's grown significantly in that short space of time, hard to tell but it certainly seems so.

When I put the lights on this morning he extended as normal but only an hour later decided to do this!

I'm not sure if this is a bacterial infection of some form or if he's spawning. He continued to do this for about 1 hour or so and is now starting to come back out again. There didn't appear to be any 'eggs' as such, just a white misty substance that I'm guessing is sperm. There is nothing in the tank that appears to be irritating it and my water perimeters are perfect minus a small trace of nitrate (5ppm) and phosphate (0.25ppm).

Any veterans out there that could shed some insight on what I just witnessed?

Your picture doesn't show anything, except an extended torch coral and typical particulate debris floating around.

It is highly unlikely that such a small piece of a colony would spawn.

Still not sure exactly what happened but it has since gone back to it's normal happy self. Oddly enough since it 'spawned' the emerald crab doesn't appear as interested in hosting it at night. Could just be coincidence. I've heard horror stories of emerald crabs irritating and even eating certain types of Euphyllia Coral but my guy doesn't seem bothered whatsoever. Appreciate all the comments, thanks.
