Euphyllia Mixing? Hammer + Torch =

I have a Torch, Octo-Frogspawn, 3 different Frogspawn and a Hammer. They are all from different places, not geographically but from different stores, Friends etc.

1. They are all Euphillia. Will they sting their own kind?

2. Can i group the 3 different frogspawn together even though one of them grows Polyps on the side and the tips and two of them only grow them only on the tips?

Generally Euphyilas are fine together. I have 2 hammers and a frogspawn that are all in contact with no worries. Haven't thrown my torch into the mix so can't vouch for that.

I haven't had issues with euphyllia touching, but I too have never thrown a torch into the mix.

Same here, a hammer and a frogspawn touching with no issues but I just got a torch and I'm a bit hesitant to add it into the mix. I've heard torches are the ones that have more of a chance of causing problems, so hopefully someone can chime in on those...

Hammer and frog usually seem good together. I had a torch, hammer, and frog all touching at one point and the hammer eventually crushed both of them. First the torch, then the spawn. Something to look out for

Was it just out of nowhere that it started stinging the other two, or were they not all together for very long?

Indeed. I've mixed a number of euphyllia without issues, but introduce a torch or torch hybrid and you can have issues. One of mine went toe to toe with an anemone for months. very powerful sting.

Now there are obviously many variants out there, so experiences may vary.

At worst, get them close and keep an eye out.

Very much agreed. Just explaining the possible potency of it's sting, to be clear.
