I bought this skimmer off a fellow reefer here on RC. I plan on running it along with my ASM g-2 this way I can set 1 to run wet foam and 1 to run a dry foam. I am hoping to have my cake and eat it too. What does everyone think of this idea (pros and cons )

Sweet skimmer. What's the dia on that chamber?

The only two things I'd be worried about is top-off, which really shouldn't be an issue, and the removal of important elements from the tank prematurely. But again, a minor issue if any. I really don't see any major impact in doing so. If anything, it will be a boost to your skimming ablities. I've heard of folks running more then one skimmer with no negative impact on the system.

Here's my ER 8-2 and ASM-g3 under my 180 ....They were under my old 120 also ..

The only thing to watch is salinity drops from a week of skimming.

Very nice. About how much water do you lose to the skimmers each day?

1/2 gallon or so

That is not bad I lose 1 gallon a day with just my g-2 on my 110
