Euro Reef RS's and Gate Valve Mods

I recently purchased a ER RS-250 and RS-180. I also have a 1.5 inch gate valve. It appears that the piping that comes with these skimmers is just the smallest bit larger than 1.5 inches. How have you been able to get the gates vavles to work on these skimmers.

The valve gate kits are slip fittings that you glue into place. 1.5'' CL 200 pvc is the right piping for these two skimmers. The rs-80 and 100 use 1.25''.

Thanks. I didn't actually buy your kit. Just a 1.5 generic gate valve. I ended up using a dremel to bore out the gate valve slip fitting and all is well

The new RS180/250s dont have the twist outputs yet?

They do, but they are a bit touchy and I had the gate valve laying around.

That explains it. The twist outputs are metric.
