Euroreef RS80 - how loud?

Just got the Euroreef RS80 and the pump is very loud. I'm not sure what pump came with it because there is no label or markings. I have read that others have had similar issues. Will this quiet down on it's own (if so how long should I wait) or should I contact Euroreef directly?

Thanks for the post, these pumps are not supposed to be noisy at all, you may get some sucking like noise from the air intake but that's about it. I would double check if the impellar is seatind properly in the housing, sometimes during shipping they get moved around, and just double check if there is anything that may have gotten caught up in there to cause noise. After you do those few checks and your still getting noise contact Chip at the Euro Reef Service desk he may be able to further trouble shoot with you.
