EV-180 question

I have designed a sump after one I found on Melev web site (Under the 55 ) anyway the skimmer in his photo show the exit water coming out under the water level. I was going to construct a stand for mine to sit on. what do you think. exit above or below.

my 150 exits just below. this helps some with bubble problems. placement from what i understand is as long as the skimmer inside water level is higher then the outside water level to properly exit the skimmer. if you exit above you may run into bubble problems. Of course i'm a newbie and could be completely wrong on this, and also a 180 may be different
