These are available in Japan again after a long drought. How difficult are they to keep (in relation to Bartletts and and Lyretails).

In my experience, they are finicky eaters. A lot more finicky than the other two. I would start with either prawn eggs or articpods. One of mine still only eat frozen more than 1 year later. They got such beautiful shape though and more peaceful than the rest of other anthias in my tank.

I started out with a trio. But as Diana said, very finicky eaters. Two lasted about two months. The other lasted over a year. Never really fattened up like most fish. Also, it lost most of its color. Ended up very pale. I now have some Hawaiian bicolor anthias that are doing very well at 4 months. They have maintained their bright colors on a diet of frozen Formula I, mysis, clams, and pretty much whatever else I put in the tank. Good luck if you decide to try the evansi.
