Everything must go

Yea, sorry guys. I needed to get rid of everything as soon as possible and I got an offer to take it all at once and I had to do it.

wow, so much for first come first serve. first no response, then it's still available, then it's gone. real nice....

Yea, well I got shafted myself Shiveley. Was trying to set up a time to get them right after work, "Oh sorry, I just sold everything" I was one of the first people that actually got a response and an okay to pick up...

Great, another cool person on ReefCentral. Get over it, I let everyone know the moment I sold it. And honestly if you were moving this weekend and had to tear down your tank, wouldnt you want it to go all to one place or would you have declined the offer and hoped to sell it all piece by piece. Thanks TeeLapia

Tough crowd! Understandable that people are a little ticked but I can sympathize with the hassles and headaches of getting things moved out in time. Good luck bro.

Not mad at you, just the ones that gave you the irresistable offer! I understand, you had to get it moved, and there were people willing to take it. If I were in your own shoes I myself would have taken the offer also.

Yeah,

I know about getting screwed by the 1st come 1st serve method.

Which i'm not that crazy about anyways since there are a few people on this board that just site on this site all day, So it screws the people that actually have to go and work and cant be on the internet 12 hrs a day;

But, I was in line with this guy also i contacted him off craigslist even before he posted it here.

BUt i totally understand getting rid of it all at once, espacially in his situation.

I think he did the right thing.

maybe people wouldn't have been so bothered by your situation if you had communicated your situation a little better. How were we to know that you were in such a rush to get rid of everything? And, to be fair, I did try to get ahold of you on the first day of the posting, it was you that didn't reply until the next morning. And when someone goes to the trouble of contacting me to let me know that an item is still available, and I try to set up a time to pick up said item, it's kind of annoying to not hear anything back again until a posting pops up stating that everything has been sold.

not saying you owe anyone anything, not even an explanation really; i'm just saying that maybe you should recognize that people might have a reason to be a little annoyed with how things went down.

but, yeah, like you suggested, I'll "get over it"...

Absolutley, I agree. But I am insanley busy and I don't have the time to get right back to everyone the moment they send me a message. But when I first put up the posting I returned everyones PM's that night and I called everyone the next day who left me numbers and also I sent everyone a PM that everything was sold. Just wanted to let you know. Sorry about the bad communication

Guys, sorry, flame me instead. I'm the guy buying everything, for my wife. The fact that she likes this hobby as much as me is so incredible.

Anyway, I'd like to make an overture to help the pain. If you wanted something, send me a PM. Once the tank is stable, I'll get in touch with people about getting you frags if you're still interested.

I'm not sure what else I can say, other than sorry, but I didn't know what the situation was either. When I got his return call I just asked what all he had for sale and we went from there.

no overtures needed, you didn't do anything wrong. just the nature of the business, and I apologize if I came of in a "flaming" kind of way. I hope your wife enjoys the pieces, if they're anywhere near as nice as they appeared online I'm sure she's very happy with them.

Somehow I knew that was you who got this set up.
I hope the move went well and nothing got too stressed out.
His pictures looked nice, we will be waiting to see pictures of it at your house.

Cool, I'm glad everything went well. When you get time could you post a pick so I could see how you set it back up. Thanks

Yeah, alot of the coral is looking much better today, but I'm not super thrilled with how I set it up. It was really hard to see everything all closed up, so I'm going to try to re-aquascape in a few days.

Pictures to follow
