Everythings dead, what do I do now?

I have a 200g reef tank. Last weekend some of my fish looked like they had a little ick. Well it got bad fast. They were covered with white spots. Their eyes were cloudy, and they had a milky slime all over. Searching this sight it looks like it wasn't ick, but velvet. Out of 15 fish I have only 5 left. Which by tonight I'm sure my powder blue will be dead. I have a yellow tang that I can't see any spots on but his eyes are cloudy. Two clowns that has it, and a leopard wrasse that looks great. My question is what do I do now? Looks to me the only one that's going to make it is the wrasse. Why he doesn't have it I don't know. How long does velvet last in a tank if there's no fish? Should I buy a uv? How long must I wait to add fish? Please help!! I am so depressed. I lost all my babies.

I'd give it 6 weeks. I'm sorry for your losses. That really sucks. Your tank is beautiful BTW. More pics please.

Thats horrible reefslug!! I hope you get things back under control.
Things look good in the picture, hopefully you picked up some type of QT tank to keep the rest of everything alive.

Very sad, especially with nice fish like blue-line and magificent angels.

Velvet is much deadlier and kills much faster than ich. Even with copper treatment, many fish won't make it. I lost $1,000+ of fish to velvet because I didn't QT 1 sticking little domino damsel....

Try to move all of your fish to a QT and treat with Cupramine. Copper is the only proven method to treat velvet. Hypo can work with some strains of ich, but does not work for velvet.

I would go 6-8wks fishless for the DT

That really sucks, sorry to hear it.

As far as treatment goes, get all remaining fish out and treat with copper, as already stated.

I'd let the main display tank run for AT LEAST 8 weeks without fish. Velvet is such a deadly disease it really isnt worth risking running it fallow for only 6 weeks and then reintroducing fish. You really really really want to make sure every last bit of it has perished from lack of a host before you start stocking again.

So buying a uv isn't going to help? Also I was thinking, will using that stuff that we us to kill red bugs off acro's, kill parasites?

It'll help a tiny bit, but it won't be enough in itself to kill all of the parasites. I liken it to wearing warm clothes when you have pneumonia. The warm clothes help, but you'll need to take a lot of antibiotics (like Cedax) to really treat pneumonia.
