hey guys, just letting you know that rob at exotic aquatic needs full time and part time help at his store in Ft Lauderdale. call and talk to him about it. requirements are experience with FOWLR and Reef aquariums, decent knowledge of fish and corals, etc. the phone number is 954-565-0947 and hours are mon-fri 12-8 closed tuesday 12-6 sat and sun.

Too bad my hours are so hectic at my full time job...I'd love to pitch in there part time, but my schedule wouldn't allow. I think I'd spend my entire paycheck there anyway.

I'm glad you posted about it...I was talking to Rob about it yesterday since there are so many reefers in the area on this forum!

Shame my schedule doesn't give me the same 2 days off from week to week, or else I would love to help out.
I'm sure with all the young, student reefers here that someone qualified will apply soon.

cool, if you guys and gals know of anyone looking for a job and they like fish, let them know for us. unfortunately our two full time employees have given their two week notices one for another place and the other for a job at school.

tho when you work at a reef store dont you almost always end up working for free?

naw, its not that bad, one of the guys who is leaving once had a check for 8 dollars and change. lol, but seriously, as long as you can hold off on impulse buys such as when shipments come in, it really isin't bad at all.

Man, I'm so tempted to leave my pain in the you know what stressful job to work there! I'm sure there are plenty of you out there that could definitely do well there! It's an awesome store and Rob seems like a great guy.

yup I got 2 days under my belt. for having 23 years of keeping salt water I feel like an idiot in a retail environment. I really got to brush up on learning species of things and of coarse prices. but its easy to help customers. catching the fish especially when someone wants a specific fish in a school of 20 is a bit difficult but it all comes with time and continued employement
