expansion module

my wish list would be a modem dialer expansion box to add the functionality lost from the AC/AC2. i know the email system is nifty in the AC3 - but in the event of an ISP outage (i.e. power outage that effects the ISP in one way or another but not the aquacontroller), then i've got no way to initiate an alarm.

as of now, i'll be investing in a second piece of equipment not tied into the AC3 to do this.

Maybe for rev 2 you would consider TCP vs RS232? This one will be good for monitoring Calcium Reactor effluent or second tank sitting close to the first, but for those of us with additional tanks 100 ft or so away...

actually, that wasn't the scenario i was referring to. i hate to get this thread sidetracked w/ this since this expansion module is most interesting to say the least! but i would be VERY happy to discuss it w/ you to try and find a better solution?

Does the PX1000 expansion module come with a mini-DIN cable to connect to the ACIII Pro? if yes how long is the cable and what is the max length available?

The PX1000 will come with a 5' cable. A 10' foot extension cable will likely be available (we are testing now).

Not to spoil any roll out events, but you willing to share what features future expansion modules might have?

Now that I'm upgrading to the ACIII, the one thing I could use is another pH monitor (one for Ca reacter/ one for the tank) - since I'm planning to use the ORP.

Could you please provide some sample status table and data log output with one or more modules? I would like to get a head start on maping the new fields into my sheet to accomodate the new module(s). I assume this will also require a new firmware on my AC3pro?
