Expensive breakfast for my cynarina sp!

Came in this morning, had a look at my tank as i do every morning to find my Cynarina sp has treat itself to a bit of an expensive breakfast.

It has decided it quite likes the taste of peppermint shrimps by the look of it.

Now, i can't find anyone else having the same experience, has anyone on here had this happen to them? I didn't think they had the ability to kill things this big, anyone got any idea's?

P.S: The sand anemone had been on the move in the night hence why it is in the picture as well as the zoos as well, the hermits keep throwing them around, i have yet to find a place for them that doesn't end with them being a piece of hermit sports equipment...

I have a large Cynarina and the unexplained absence of three smallish peppermint shrimp in my tank. This could be an explanation.

I think it might be a molt as well. IMO, a healthy peppermint shrimp should have absolutely no problem whatsoever getting away from the jaws of that coral. Eating is a slow process, and shrimps are relatively quick.

I was wondering what you meant by 'molt' I understand now that you mean the shedding? If so, I recently bought four, I saw them on occasion but never out in the open. I found three of them later on today in my sump, you reckon it's just a coincidence that I only found three?

Surely if it was, it wouldn't be pink? I have found shedding from my peppermint shrimp around my tank, it's all while and translucent?

Prob just a molt. I bought 4 peppermint shrimp, have never seen all 4 at once. Seen their molts at least once a month or so

It was sold to me as a sand anemone. It was like that as it had been on the move, it had moved across half the tank during that night and thats what it looked like when i switched on the lights. It looks fine now it has got comfortable in the corner of the tank -.-
