Experience with Fridmani Pseudochromis?

I was wondering what kind of experience people have had with a Fridmani Pseudochromis. I was considering one of these for my 20G nano. Is the tank too small for one? I was also thinking of getting a Hi Fin shrimp goby and am not sure if they would play nice. I think I've heard some stories of the Fridmani being aggressive and/or mean, but wanted to check. Thanks for the help.

Size wise a Fridmani should be fine in a 20g tank. They're not as aggressive as other Pseudochromis and usually don't cause any problem unless you place another Fridmani, unless it a pair, or another type of Pseudochromis. They may also have problems with small wrasse like 6-line and such. But for the most part they're pretty good to keep.

Just remember that all Pseudochromis are some what aggressive, some more than others, so there is alway a chance that one will attack other fish.

My Fridmani is not aggressive at all, and it is housed with some smaller fish. However, I have a 150 gallon, so I don't know if its behavior would be different in a smaller tank.

I just got one about 10 days ago in my 75. So far so good. He picked out his place within minutes of going in the tank and I can always find him there. He's eating fine.

I thought he'd hide most of the time, but I see him pretty often. I have a pink/blue spot Shrimpgoby who'd been in the tank longer than the rest of my residents and he runs my Flame Angel (put in at same time as Fridmani) off from his area, but doesn't seem to mind that the Fridmani's territory is right next to his.

I have a pair in my 75 and they dont bother a soul, except each other once in a while. They love the small holes thru out the live rock to hide out in, and they usually only hide when my Arc-eyed Hawk starts circling. Mine are tank raised and I am pretty sure they are even less aggressive then wild caught

They actually sound less aggressive that I thought. Would there be any problem adding it first in the tank? There is somone local who is moving tomorrow (Monday) and has to get rid of it. I was just cautious of adding it first into the tank. The other tankmates may be a pair of clowns and a small shrimp goby, all to be added at a later date. Thanks for everyone's input.

I would still try to add it last if you can, at least after the shrimp goby. They may not be overly aggressive but they can intimidate smaller fish like gobies. I had a fairly well established common firefish (nemateleotris magnifica) in my 75 gallon tank, and about a month later added a Fridmani. It scared my firefish pretty bad and made him jump out of the tank for the first time, and a couple more times after that. They usually would hang out at different ends of the tank, but whenever they got close to each other, the Fridmani would lunge for the firefish and freak him out. I imagine the firefish would have found it very difficult if not impossible to adjust had he been added after the Fridmani. Clowns would have no problem being added after a Fridmani though, they "hold their own" very well.

I decided to hold off and not get it. I really want the shrimp goby and clowns which wouldn't leave much bio-load left. Thanks again for everyones input.
