GoFish Aquariums, the Southwest Chicago suburb’s largest aquarium retail, maintenance, and installation company, is looking for true fish geeks to do what they love while getting paid top dollar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Water Maintenance
•Water quality testing and accurate cataloging of data.
•Making appropriate corrections to water quality when necessary.
Animal Health
•Evaluating animal health.
•Treating sick animals when necessary.
•Equipment Maintenance.
•Becoming familiar with maintenance required for all equipment owned by clients.
•Servicing and maintenance of filters and accessory equipment.
Customer Service
•Communicating with clients as needed and returning calls in a prompt manner.
•Prioritizing and scheduling clients in a manner that meets clients needs while minimizes down time and travel.
•Be proactive and look for ways to improve clients systems and offer them to clients.
Communication with Management
•Communicate with management about clients’ systems, schedule, and stock.
Project Management/Other
•Coordinate with divers and fellow aquarist to ensure all aspects of maintenance and service are being completed in a satisfactory and timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum 2+ years of professional aquarist experience or 5 yr hobbyist
•Highly self-motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills along with an eye for detail.
Pay based on experience and aptitude. Flexible hours. Travel around Chicagoland area and nearby Indiana required but will use company vehicle for client calls. Must have license, good driving record, and insurance.
GoFish Aquariums supports our aquarist team with one week paid vacation and sick days. Opportunity for growth and increased benefits depending on experience and dedication.
