I'd like to make a short list of coral symptoms and reactions to environment, plus problems/pests, that I can condense for the new to the hobby folk who may be interested in corals---so that they can succeed at it and not kill corals. Wonder if you can help. If you saw these things, what would you suspect as the reason?
For starters:
Coral browning:
Polyp retraction: new location:
Polyp retraction: longtime location:
RTN: new location
RTN: old location.
tissue loss on one side:
Also: preferred location re light and flow for:
euphyllias
montipora
acans
candy cane
fox
bubble
birdsnest
pocillopora
valida
plate
Known predators on these.
These being the ones I can think of that may be successful beginner corals.
Thank you much for assistance.
