Exploding tanks

Wow, just read that whole thread. Scary stuff. Sounds like Reef Savvy is the way to go for custom glass tanks. Then again, theres also that company that is on "Tanked," whose name escapes me currently. I'm not sure if they do glass though. Hopefully you don't have any more issues with your tank, Dave!

You and me both. The glass thickness is 3/4 . Hopefully that will help. And my tank is 30" tall. It will not have any live stock in it for at least 2 months. Still very disappointing. I will always be wondering when I am gone or sleeping what I will find when I return. :worried:

What are the dimensions of your tank?
I am going to order my tank next week from either miracles ,A.G.E or Reef savvy. not sure who yet.

It is 72x37.5x30.5H I would have not given it a second thought if it was shipped properly and not broken upon arrival. I know S*** happens but then I see other people with problems and bad customer service. It has got to make you think:fun5:. I have been in the HVAC business for 25 years. Word of mouth will kill a business.:uhoh2:

glass cages has a 90 day warranty

Personally I would go reef savvy I've talked to Felix and he's been helpful and have heard nothing but good things but your going to pay more but the build quality will be very good. I've heard great things about miracles but the shipping from Canada is the killer part.

When it comes to a 10 year or better in a reef tank. I would rether go with the quality and pay more. Of course this is after I got burnt.:sad1:

It could have always been worse. The whole side could have been
broken. :celeb1: I hate having to fix a new tank that I paid good money for. If it was second hand, that would be another story. I guess now I am :deadhorse:

Being that deep and tall it will look great lots of room

I do know several folks that have had solid GC tanks as well. However, I think their recent blowouts are serious cause for concern. I would sell that tank Dave and get a different one.

a lot of stores use them in the united states from reptiles to fish tanks

they dont vend many reptiles shows because of making custom tanks is more money
