Exposed wire on 6100

Hi roger I have a tunze 6100 pump while doing maintenance I noticed the housing for the electrical cord has a cut in it. The cut is close to the pump and would be exposed to water. Obviously I will not add it back to my tank. Is there any chance I can send it in for repair? Or if its too old to fix can i send it in and pay the difference for a newer pump?

Here's a pic of the wire

Thanks

It is not repairable, inside the pump the connections are sealed or "potted" so we cannot access them to replace the cable. Their are 3 options-

1) Order a new 6105 from a dealer, this is the current equivalent and the best path if you want the magnet holder and wide flow housing.

2) Order this upgrade kit, it is a 6105 pump with the standard housing only, adapter clamp to fit whatever holder you are using for the 6100 and a power supply, note that in the description 6101.015 is a kit consisiting of the clamp and 6105 pump-

3) Send in what you have if the driver is good it is worth a $45 credit toward either, you may prefer to keep those as a spare part for other pumps or sell the parts yourself.

Note that both items are out of stock, if you need a fast solution, finding a dealer with a 6105 in stock is the best option. We are likely 3 weeks out on either item.
