exquisite wrasse question

My LFS has several exquisite wrasses. Most of them have a white spot on their upper lip. This particular store has had the same species in the past also with the same white spots. I have seen exquisites at different stores without the white spots. Is this something to stay away from? They look healthy.

The LFS also has what they call a terminal exquisite wrasse, about 3.5 inches long with a different appearance from "regular" wrasses. It almost looks like a balteus wrasses. Has anyone heard of this terminal stage of exquisite wrasses?

the white spot is just something that all young fairy wrasses have..as they mature they lose that spot..all species of fairys can reach the so called terminal status..it is a male that won't change back into a female and will have alot more color to them..never seen any exquisite look any thing like a c. balteatus though..so maybe it is mislabled..the thing with keeping exqusite is that you need to keep them with multipale females as the male will lose it color alot..so a few of the smaller ones would be great with a male
