Extending a PX1000

So my understanding is that you can daisy chain these modules, can you also extend them with a M/F extension cable? My application does not work within the small (read tiny) 5ft cable length provided by one PX1000.

I have a 40' PX-1000 cable using ethernet cable and the mini-din 8 connectors. The details of where to get it and how much it costs (about $55, IIRC) are on my build thread on page 8:

Those guys will build one any length you need and it works like a charm. Actually, since I've upgraded to the APEX, that cable is no longer being used. If you would like to buy it for $40, let me know.

I ended up getting it to work.

At 32 feet I couldnt hook up, but at 25 it was ok, and so I kept it at 25ft. That fits where I want it to go.
