extermination with saltwater tank

Hi everyone, I need to have my house exterminated for termites I need a tent put on.. I have a 150 reef tank. Is it anyway I can have this done with out breaking the tank down. any suggestion

I took out a many fish as I could get my hands on put then on a holding tank with the same water outside under a tent, covered my tank with a big plastic sheet and taped it to the floor to seal, my bio load was low so I just unplugged all the equipment and prayed. The next day came in as soon as it was safe uncovered and turned everything on, ended with no loss.

I did the same thing to our tanks when we lived in Key West. Since it was military housing, we were not allowed in for 3 days. The few fish left in there survived! I was suprised.

another method ive heard of, is to tape off the entire tank with visqueen and use a large air pump placed outside to pump air into the "tent" youve made for you aquarium, this gives this tent a positive pressure and you just make a small, but still large enough opening for the air to escape. in doing so this allows for a source of constant fresh air to be given to the aquarium and by keeping a positive pressure inside the "tent" no poisons are able to enter in.

however the downsides to this method are using a large enough air pump to supply a adequate amount of air, as well as long enough tubing.

just a method ive heard of being used. never used it, but i believe some in the club have.

we'll see if anyone comments on this method.
