External or Internal Pumps

I got a 1270 turbo sea at the moment..
Do u think its worth buying an eheim better for a return pump?
My 1270 makes quite a humming sound as well...

eheims are generally very quiet. good choice if the humming gets too annoying. I have one that runs my calcium reactor and you dont even know it's running.

I've had an Eheim 1250 running every day since my first year in grad school -1985.

i have used an eheim 1262 for a few years now, dead silent since day 1. Great pumps. I have ran it internal and external but i like external.
