external pump ?

Upgrading my reef tank to a 90 gal with a sump-I want to plumb the tank inside with pvc with about 8 outlets for flow (4 on the bottom / 4 at the top) using a closed loop but not sure what pump to buy. Concerned about reliabilty and will have to be pushing the water from 6ft away. I know i need to know head loss but what brand other than MAG drive pumps would you recommend? Mostly concerned with reliablity at this point.:thumbsup:

You're not mixing your sump and closed loop are you? You mentioned sump, so just checking. Can't do that. Sump should be low flow and closed loop high flow.

Eheim pumps get rated very well. They're quiet and reliable.

Sequence Reeflo pumps are quiet and 3 year warranty.

Iwaki pumps are great for reliability. A little loud at first, but not terrible.

I would recomend an Iwaki 70

I have heard from alot of people that they are loud----reliable but may be to loud for my taste---just what I've heard

Sequence Reeflo sounds like a good pump, but do they leak?
