Anyone have an extra external temperature controller to cut a 110v and ~6amp device on/off? Or do you know where I could pick something like this up locally in Mid TN?

Thanks,
Ryan

ps... yes this could be used for an aquarium I guess.. but I'm wanting to use this with a chest type freezer to convert it to a refrigerator for beer :)

LOL. I don't know of any. If it is a freezer that opens on the top, make sure you do your temp sensor on the bottom or you might have beer popsicles.

If the control module wasn't so darn integrated, I'm certain i could change out the POT to make it do what I want it to. I can order one next week, but I wanted to get my kegs cold this weekend! :P

I went to Ed's Supply on 6th in Nashville and found exactly what I needed. Its a Johnson Controls external thermostat that can control any 110 device. However, I will not be going to Ed's Supply again. They were rude on the phone and in person (two different people). I guess if you're not a contractor, they just treat you like crap? Anyway, they stink and I won't be back unless absolutely necessary.

We just got done brewing an IPA and a Lindeman's Framboise clone tonight... with a Kona Milk Stout in the secondary and just bottled a Pale Ale on Friday. We'll have to wait six months to see how the lambic comes out... which will undoubtedly test my patience.

Unfortunately, we don't have space for a dedicated keg fridge...without taking out a fish tank :(
I need to learn a bit about keg set-ups before we go that route anyway.
