Extra Saltwater

Moving my 210 to Petaluma this week. Was wondering if anybody had extra SW? Will be in and out, so probably won't reply until tonight.

Yup. that is the plan. I needed to move my tank today, so I'll have them do a water change when the 210 is moved. 90% of everything is in the other garage of the new house. Spent the WHOLE day doing that.

$2/gal is very expensive. For your 210 that would be over $400 worth of salt water, you could get an awesome RO unit and make your own filtered water and still come out ahead. Not to mention the GAS to go out there and back.

I wasn't going to replace the entire tank's water. more like a massive water change, since I disturbed all the sand in the tank. I'm expecting the big 3 to go up, especially amonia. Protein skimmer is going crazy.

Don't think gas is an issue, because I'm pretty sure he delivers it and pumps it into the tank at the same temperature as the tank.

Unfortunately, my RO unit is not hooked up at the new house, so I can't rely on that yet. Took me 3 days to move everything and I'm still not done.

well, didn't have enough $$, so I ended up making water took a long time. Fish are in the garage of the new house, and 210 is full, and salinity is almost correct.

I have a number of bags of sand that I just couldn't fit in the new garage setup, so I sun dried it for about 2 weeks, then put it in the 210, then after a week I was dumbfounded when copepods were flourishing in the new setup. Thought that sundrying it would kill off everything.

At the momment it is pathetic. 210 with 1" of sand. temp has finally reached the same temp as the tank in the garage. Got sick. I haven't moved anything yet.
