Extremanators and your tank..

I do NOT live in a bug infested house. With that said, We have noticed a lot more spiders this year already. The idea of having a extermanator come out and rid the 8 leg freaks. My worries or the 2 reefs set up. I do not want them gone with the spiders. Has anybodie done this befor and what are the precautions?

I have seen some threads, but I think it is gennerally not recomended, altough IIRC, some people have been successfull, others not so much.

I would at least try to avoid bug-bomb type soulutions, powders and such may be ok...

I know bombing is the worst thing you can do. The skimmer and other things would pull the poisin right in to the reef. I wished i could find that thread.

you might try spraying your foundation and around your garage door. I live in a new subdivision of 5 years.....once was a field. Plenty of spiders, especially those hairy wolf spiders. I went to walmart and purchased some spray that is for spiders. It worked for me and much safer. You might opt for this instead of an exterminator.

I had the same problem with spiders at my house. Bought some home defense from Wal-Mart and sprayed the foundation, under the eve, inside the garage, and on the exterior walls of our house. i have not seen a spider in 3 months. (knock on wood)

With me being about 90 miles south from you I am thinking that is what kind of spider it is. and the wife says the garage has a lot in there. I will do this first. I would just hate to call the manager at Orickin and say ((we have a problem!!))
