I need to upgrade my powerheads. I have a 225 mixed reef with alot of SPS. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of a good powerhead for this size tank that would be of reasonable price. I have a wavemaster wave maker outlet for the pumps to cycle. Suggestions would be nice or, maybe one you perhaps has something for sale.

This was shown at MACNA this year...40,000 GPH Tunze.

HOLY HELL thats alotta flow!! i may be interested in the Koralia Magnum 7 but i cannot make the swap =( as i have to work.

matt..i have a big *** hang on power head...im not sure what brand it is...but it moves a ton of water...i'll get a pic for you

id trade for some smaller ones if you want

I added that new 40,000gph Tunze to my 150g tank a few days ago. It makes quite the sand storm. I still can't see my rocks or fish, it is one big cloud of sand blowing around. I shined a flashlight in there last night when the lights were out, and I saw a fish fly by upside down as the sand blew by. The flow turned over a few of my big rocks, I hope my corals are ok. Maybe the flesh hasn't peeled off them. I am kinda worried, I am having to empty my skimmer cup out 4 times a day. Could everything be dying?

I like the MaxiJet 1200 with the SureFlow propeller mod kit. They come with two props. I have two of them and had to change the big prop out for the small one because the sand was blowing around 4 feet from the powerheads. A lot more flow than the Koralia 750.

The only thing I don't like about Maxijets is the heat they produce (watts). If you run halides and are trying to keep temps down, there are better option with less watts.
