This was my lovely red Cap November 2011

Here it is today all washed out

Tubes are 1 week old (8x54W) but it has declined steadily over the last 5 months. Params are good 10dkh, 440 Cal, 1500Mag, PO4 0.04 and stable via Balling.

I use GFO but no other form of filtration bar a Skimmer and Live Rock

Potassium is my next port of call I haven't tested before, other than that I think I must be starving the corals

I have anther purple Montipora that has also faded and that too was deeper back in November.

Has anyone had low potassium, dosed then seen recovery ?

is that the same acro behind it, was green and now is not?
how often do you test for ALK? Is it always at 10K
what kind of bioload do you have, and how often do you feed?
what are the nitrates?
have you tested for potassium? meaning i wouldn't start adding it until you know exactly what it is with regards to where it should be.
