failed pump or drive unit?

My 6000 pump has a continuous alarm. I have disassembled the pump and cleaned according to the directions and I still get the alarm. I swapped drivers and transformers and still get the alarm. The drive unit appears to rotate free with no friction. The magnet rotates freely on the bottom bearing. When powered up the propeller does not vibrate or attempt to move at all. This unit is approximately 1 year old and has worked flawlessly to this point. Any suggestions? What is my next step? I guess I could take the drive unit out of the other pump I have?

update:
I tried the drive unit from the other pump I have and still constant alarm immediately after powering on. This must be a warranty issue?

It sounds like the motor has a fault of some sort. Sending a PM.
