I picked up a ruby head fairy wrasse (male) and a pair of platinum clownfish over the weekend at a fragswap event here. All three are in my quarantine tank- 75 G RR bare bottom with PVC pipes laying around. No other fish are in there. For the first two days when I fed a mix of thawed mysis & spirulina brine shrimp the wrasse ate like a pig while the clownfish had no appetite. I am not so worry about the clown as it's my experience that it takes a while for them to come around then they'll eat anything. But now on the third day all of a sudden the wrasse did not want to eat this morning. The wrasse then proceed to "bite then spit" the food this evening. The lighting for the quarantine tank is very dim. And by the way the tank is fully cycled with an Ocean Octopus 150 running in the 29G sump. Can anyone share if this is a common thing you see in fairy wrasse acclimation?
Last snippet of detail, I have not began medicating the QT yet as I want to first get them to eat, get them fat, then start medication. So medication can be ruled out here for the appetite issue.
