I have an Exquisite, Roseafascia, Laboutei, Lineatus Pair, Rosy Fin Pair, Cyanopleura, and Red Coris wrasse in my 240 with very little aggression. I don't think you will have any problems but I don't know anything about a Disappearing or Christmas wrasses though.

dissapearing wrasses are mean buggers... i wouldn't put them with fairies...

Velvet is probably the most aggressive fairy and get very big for a fairy (ive seen males almost 7")

other then that, all those wrasses should get along.

Nice Lineatus looks a little like my female she grew an inch in about 6 months. Good luck with them hopefully your Scott's doesn't turm into a jerk like my Aussie Scott's.

I haven't had a wrasse yet, but they are so beautiful. The ones at my local shop aren't as colorful as these. Probably because of poor shipping and handling. What is the best choice for a first? It would be housed w/ a yellow tang, pair of percs, redspotted hawk.

the lineatus is a small male, as well as the scotts. :) Looks to be an aussie scotts as well! They are fine if given ample room and lots of food.

A good starter fairy/wrasse would be solar, red margin, velvet, condie, lubbocks, scotts... velvet and scotts are very aggressive though and should be added last.

They are still in quarantine but they are looking pretty good I think. What type do you think the flasher one is? Also, when I went to Maui here a few weeks ago there was a beautiful wrasse that was a deep orangey pink with bright yellow on it. They were super bright....anybody know what type that would be? a jordani??

thanks

Top one is a male Solorensis and the bottom is a male Lubbocks fairy good luck with them. You probably don't have to quarantine them very long I have 16 and have never seen them get a disease but thats not to say their completely immune.

I always put everything in quarantine for a few weeks first. It's actually a 10 gallon that is set with up with liverock etc. It is good to know though, thanks.

I lost my supermale jordani a day before christmas. I believe my female is changing to a male. She's lost the iridescent red color that i loved and is turning yellow.

This is her (him?) this evening. She has been a bit more reclusive the last few weeks.

Steve, what is the wrasse on the second last picture that is flashing?
Also, just gotta say that this is a great thread! I'm throughly enjoying it.
I think the jordani's maybe my favorites...but it's so hard to decide as they are all so gorgeous. The answer I think is to move into Dr. Tanaka's waiting room! (I've had lots of experience scrubbing glass)
I've got my 180 covered now at the sides and back and overflows...but not the very top of the canopy which is about a foot tall...they can't jump that high can they????
cheers

danieljames - your female is most definitely a male now. No flame female will have yellow. She is beautiful now! How did the male die?

vikebron - nice collection :) do you have any females in there?
