i have seen a particular type of rock that resembles concrete. it is cavernous live live rock and and sort of looks like live rock but its surface looks just like concrete to me. its almost like someone tumbled rubble rock in concrete and let it dry all jumbled up so that it would still be cavernous. just wondering if any of you guys know what this is. i guess it could be real live rock i just dont think so.

no. i mean you have to look closely at the surface to see what i am talking about. it looks like regular live rock. but you dont see any coral pores or uniform coral growth or random features. like how live rock has evidence of different kinds of life randomly all over it. this rock's surface is completely uniform. and it literally looks like some one took rubble left over from decent live rock, piled it all together in some concrete and let it dry. one piece even had a sea shell in it. and it didnt look like the rock grew around the shell . it looked like it dried in there. i have seen this rock in several different places and it looks exactly the same. it must either be live rock from a specific location or fake rock.

vida rock is obviously fake rock on the first glance. the stuff i am talking about is exactly like nice porous rock but its surface resembles concrete texture and the caverns just look super suspicious.
