Don't know if you care but the mushroom is called Amanita Muscaria var. formosa.

We have them here in Michigan as well. Lovely mushroom. Just don't eat them. You will be tripping balls for a day or more lol! Not too mention you will have an awful stomach ache more then likely!

very nice pics ahuxman58. My favorite one is your shot of the moon. What focal length and technical setting did you use to shoot the moon?

Thank you all for the comments. I used both my cameras for these shots the landscapes and sunrises are with my 400D, 16-35MM, the waterfall and mushroom flowers and leaves with my 400D, 24-105MM. The moon shot was with my 30D ,100-400MM,with my 1.4 extender, 1/250th SS, F.11, ISO 250 manual focus and mirror lockup and remote shutter release with a total focal length of 560MM.

I looked back thru to tell you which one I like the most, but just can't pick. Each one has it's own special characteristics. Very nice.

Ugh. I had an oppurtunity to go up to the Boundary Waters, and I decided not to. How you've made me regret that decision...

All amazing, but if I had to pick it would be the first one, it's inspirational.

Here it is^^^^^^^ :) And thank you for the kind words

Those are some amazing shots you've got there!

I've been thinking about a trip to the Boundary Waters for a while now. We canoed the Allagash in northern Maine this past summer, and we might go to Minn. next summer. Any must-see spots you'd recommend?

All the State Parks are worth a stop, there is Split Rock Lighthouse, Two Harbors,Naniboujou Lodge, wildlife abounds we saw countless deer bald eagles everywhere timber wolfves and moose. Plain and simple spectacular scenery throughout the region take some back roads .
