Falling Over Clam Problems

Im not sure if it would be best to put this in DIY or here but well see if it gets moved or not haha

Iv got alittle clam bout 4" and I like him sitting on the sand.. dont know why I just do but he would constantly fall over or dig down into the sand. I even tried PVC pipe and he still slid off it. So after some fiddling out in the workshop I came up with a clam cradle just a piece of acrylic heated and bent basicaly into the palm of my hand so that it supports the clam on the sand then I heated the acrylic on the bottom really hot so it bubbled up and then drilled some small holes in the bottom so that the foot could attach its been workin out really great for the past week and a half and he is still upright woohoo

if the clam was happy with his location he wouldn't be falling over IMO, sounds to me like he was trying to move to a better location. the best thing is to put a shell under the sand for him to attach to, which if happy they will do.
